London International Dive Show 2008

The Shows for Divers!

Twice a year the diving world gears up for the highlights of the sport's calendar — the London and Birmingham Dive Shows. At each event hundreds of leading suppliers of the latest diving gear, holidays, training courses, leisurewear and boats meet with thousands of experienced and wannabe divers from the UK, Europe and beyond.

The Dive Shows also attract world-renowned diving experts to the speaker programmes that run alongside each event. Recent high-profile speakers have included diving environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau, record-breaking freediver Tanya Streeter and underwater explorer Monty Halls. Hugely popular, these presentations often have standing room only despite being able to seat more than 500 people.

With hundreds of new ideas on the exhibition floor — plus the opportunity to try out and purchase the latest kit — there's no better place to go for diving information, advice and inspiration.

The next of these events is
DIVE 2008
which takes place at
the NEC Birmingham on November 1-2, 2008

Mares at "boot" 2008 show

image Diving is a lifestyle! That's the key message that Mares wanted to get across at the most recent edition of "boot". Leaf through these pages to learn more about trendsetters at the fair and the recreational diving equipment they brought with them, and check out everything you missed!
Düsseldorf, 19 – 27 January 2008, was the perfect location.

And not just anywhere, but in pavilion 3, stand C54: and Mares was there in the center of it all with its complete product line. Visitors were captivated by the over 70 new items, and the Mares team of consultants – boasting 15 highly competent experts – worked non-stop during the event. The hands-down favorite among the products on display was the Nemo Air computer with integrated air data readings. Thanks to its elegant presentation (see photo), this new computer stood out, in all its grandeur, for everyone to see. But the new Puck line also caught the eye of visitors.

Other favorites included past crowd-pleasers such as the LiquidSkin mask line, the SheDives line for women, the new regulators (with two new models, Abyss 22 and Abyss 42, leading the pack), as well as our "baggage artists", the bags from the Cruise line.
In 2008 Mares will also break new ground in the areas of freediving and Diving Centers: Christian Redl, the world record-holder, presented the new products in the "Pure Instinct" line dedicated to ambitious divers who enjoy freediving. The likeable Austrian athlete recently joined the Mares team.

From one professional to another: the Mares Diving Center program was designed to be customized to the needs of dive centers and offers a full range of products and services, from durable and handy equipment through to promotional materials.
