Atomic Aquatics Safe Seconds

Atomic Aquatics Safe Seconds

Atomic Aquatics believes that safe seconds are just as important if not more so than your primary regulator. Although rarely used, in some ways it is your most important piece of equipment. You may never need to use it, but it has to perform flawlessly if you do. Bought a new regulator recently? What did you do with your old one? Did you keep it for your safe second? Using a hand-me down or a buying a cheap second stage for your back-up could be a false economy if it can’t deliver enough air at depth or becomes unserviceable through disuse or neglect. The quality of your safe second should be equal to your primary.

Which type of Safe Second Should I use? Redundant Second Stage or Integrated Inflator Regulator?

Whichever product fits your style of diving, Atomic Aquatics offers the highest quality, full-featured safe seconds available.

Is your diving purely recreational? Want to streamline your system and eliminate extra hoses?

Check out the Atomic Aquatics SS1 Safe Second Inflator. The SS1replaces your BC inflator and features a built-in high performance safe second combined in one compact unit.

Are you training students? Wreck or cave diving; or just prefer a second stage dedicated for octo use?

All the Atomic Aquatics second stage models are available as dedicated safe seconds with high visibility yellow covers, extra length 36" hoses and can be fitted with the optional comfort swivel hose.

The Atomic Aquatics ST1

The Atomic Aquatics ST1

The world’s only Stainless Steel regulator and the right choice for the environment.

Atomic Aquatics has created another industry first, the ST1 Stainless Steel Regulator. The first stage is beautifully machined from a special grade type 316 stainless steel that is twice the strength of brass with corrosion resistance approaching titanium. Many environmental experts around the world have classified Stainless Steel as the “Green” metal of the future. It does not require any additional protective chrome or nickel plating processes that can be harmful to the environment and is 100% recyclable. The second stage features all titanium second stage components as found in the T2 and B2 regulator models.

  • First stage of type 316 stainless steel that is twice the strength of brass with durability and corrosion resistance nearing that of titanium.
  • Compact first stage features 5-port low-pressure swivel and exclusive "Jet Seat" piston design.
  • High performance breathing: Low inhalation efforts even at deep depths and high breathing rates with natural and comfortable air delivery.
All titanium second stage construction: The industry’s only second stages to feature all-titanium components that are lightweight and the ultimate in corrosion resistance.
  • Exclusive, patented Atomic Aquatics "Comfort Swivel" second stage hose. The only second stage swivel of its type that allows unidirectional movement without any loss of performance. This swivel articulates at the slightest movement to eliminate any binding or pulling of the second stage hose in the mouth. Constructed of polished 316 stainless steel.
  • Seat Saving Orifice: Exclusive, patented Atomic Aquatics feature prolongs the second stage seat life indefinitely, eliminating aggravating leaks and degradations in performance.
  • AFC: (Automatic Flow Control) Exclusive, patented Atomic Aquatics feature automatically adjusts airflow at depth to maintain stable, comfortable breathing.
  • Dual Silicone Comfort Fit Mouthpiece: Extremely soft and supple silicone rubber with tear resistant bite tabs.
    Nitrox ready up to 40%
  • 2 year/300 Dive service interval: Corrosion resistant materials and maintenance saving designs extend the customary annual service period to 2 years.
  • Limited lifetime warranty not contingent upon annual servicing.

Atomic Aquatics SV1 & SV2 Snorkels

When the diver clears the SV1/SV2 a small watertight tube located inside the snorkel body keeps the breathing airway path free of collected water droplets. The one way valve or Scupper Valve simply allows water to drain into a lower reservoir each time the diver exhales. The result is a crisp clearing, hydrodynamic, snorkel without being big, bulky, and uncomfortable to use.

SV1 & SV2:

How it works.

The Scupper Valve inside the SV snorkel series works in the same way as the Scupper Valve on a boat. An internal tube (1) located inside the main snorkel body retains a small one way Scupper Flap Valve (2) that allows water to flow past the mouthpiece and out the purge valve, (3) without collecting at the bottom of the breathing passage. The diver simply exhales a small burst of air to clear any water trapped below the mouthpiece, keeping the internal tube airway dry. It’s so simple and so effective, we have a Patent Pending.

SV2:

High performance design with a Semi-Dry top.

The SV2 combines the Scupper Valve lower section with the sleek looking SV2 Semi-Dry top. The SV2 Semi-Dry top horizontal vents (1) diffuse splashed water (2) that would normally freely enter the snorkel top. The small gaps between the vanes of the vent restrict water speed and droplet size and permit most of the splashed water to exit the special vents (3) without entering the breathing tube. Thus you get less water in your snorkel. The SV2 is the perfect answer for rough or choppy water conditions.

  • Quick disconnect snorkel keeper includes 30 degree rotation.
  • Sliding snorkel keeper range adjuster allows for accurate placement without constant re-adjusting each dive.
  • Atomic Aquatics’ international and award winning styling team makes the SV1 and SV2 high performance snorkels something you would be proud to use.
