Dive Rite knows it's those little things that make a big difference...
When it comes to dive gear, no truer words could be spoken. Divers know that especially in technical dives there are no compromises to be made.
That's why the new SlimLine Light System was designed with the most demanding technical activity in mind, Cave Diving.
The SlimLine Light System is designed, modified, sold and serviced by active divers who know how important your gear is to you. That makes a difference, and it's that attention to detail that separates this Light System from the rest. Let's have a closer look.
High intensity lights continue to get smaller while maintaining exceptional burn times. Dive Rite leads the way with the latest selection of technologically advanced primary canister lights.
The Slimline light powers a 10-watt Solarc™ HID bulb for up to four hours using a high capacity nickel metal hydride battery.
The light system is basically broken up into 3 different parts which are the canister, the light head and the hand-grip.
Due to this modular system it can be adapted to any possible diving situation.
Recreational and technical divers alike appreciate the handiness and durability of the SlimLine Light either during a relaxed night dive at a coral reef, a deep dive along a wall, a wreck penetration or a long cave exploration dive. It is approved up to 250msw.
The Slimline Light Canister is formed from a single piece of extruded poly-vinyl chloride pipe (PVC).
The PVC material and round design make it extremely strong under extreme pressure.
The canister is very small in diameter and ideal for a low profile dive system. The canister holds the battery pack that powers the light head.
The canister lid contains the power cable that connects the light head to the batteries, an on/off power switch with protector, an ‘O’-ring seal, which keeps water from entering the canister, and compression style locking latches, which prevent accidental opening of the latches. The canister webbing loop is used to mount the canister to a BC or harness.
The light head has 3 options depending on the type of activity that you plan underwater.
The MR11 light head is a compact HID light head and designed for underwater use. The MR11 light head features ‘O’-ring grips for ease in holding and an attachment point for a clip so it can be attached to a BC. The MR11 HID bulb is rated at 10-watts. The reflector is available in two options, a 13-degree spot beam for recreational diving or a tighter 6-degree for technical diving.
The H10 Compact HID light head is great for exploration and underwater video or photography (with optional Lumedyne reflector). The H10 Compact features a focusable reflector, 10-watt HID bulb, an ultra-small ballast assembly, and an elastic hand mount, which is permanently attached to the reflector assembly.
Hand mounts are available for all of the HID light heads. Depending on the light head, there are up to three different hand mount designs.
Elastic hand mount
This is the smallest and most formfitting of the light hand mounts. The handle consists of an elastic strap that encircles the hand. It can be loosened or tightened using its nylon buckle, which ensures a good fit.
Ergo hand mount
This light hand mount has an ergonomically correct angled orientation. Hand clearance is adjustable by bending the handle to best fit the hand.
Stainless steel hand mount
This is a Goodman style hand mount that is made from stainless steel and is the most traditional in appearance. This hand mount sits straight across the back of the hand. Hand clearance is adjustable by loosening screws found on both sides of the handle.
