Scuba Diving: Happy New Year... Let's Go Diving

Hi,

Happy New Year!!!

With the New Year here, there are many adventures to take. Would love to hear about scuba diving trips that have been incredible for you and places that are a must go and things to do or avoid in the different dive locations.

email me at: scubadivingsolutions@gmail.com
or comment on the blog.

My trip for the year will be at least to go and dive in Maui this year. Having little ones limits my out of the area diving. Maybe in a couple of years when the kids are 4 and 6 years old, then I can get a couple of trips in during the year. I would love to get my 17 year old daughter to get scuba certified. It is not on her goals list yet.

May your New Year be full of wonderful scuba diving adventures, travels, and good fun with friends!

Happy New Year!

Scuba Diving: Tips for Getting Started in Underwater Videography

Hi,

I wanted to give you some tips for Getting Started in Underwater Videography. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to show your friends and family your scuba diving adventure and what you saw? Imagine all the people around the world watching your experience on YouTube. You would be very cool!

Here are the tips:

When scuba diving, people would want to share the underwater experience that they see with their friends and family. First, they begin by regaling coworkers and family members with story after story of their underwater adventures. Then, they start to take a snapshot or two. But still, the frozen images that they bring back from the depths are lacking. It is impossible to convey the agility and grace of a great white intent on prey or the delicate, jerky movements of a sea horse. Read More...

Talk to you soon.

Scuba Diving: Feeling Wimpy

Hi there,

I love scuba diving! There is nothing better than being underwater. It is a very meditative feeling. I love the feeling of being still and watching the underwater life come up to me. I have having a hard time getting wet knowing that it is cold out there.

I was freezing on my last dive. Too cold!!! I know it is time to pull out the dry suit but I need a refresher class on dry suit diving. The buoyancy gets me.

I just want to dive warm waters. I write about the warm waters. I love the feeling of not having to put on so much gear to go diving. I shouldn't be complaining about the weather since I live in Southern California and the outside weather is 80's and sunny while my east coast friends are freezing their booties off. We still have cold water here. It is in the 50's to low 60's. Yes, you can call me a wimp and I accept that.

So here I am dreaming of warm water and visibility that is more than 20 feet. Yes, that is considered good visibility in California.

Happy Diving!

Hi,

Check out my new articles:

http://www.scubadivingsolutions.com/hawaii.html Scuba Diving in Hawaii - Hawaii is a top vacation destination for more reasons than the fashionable grass skirts and leis. People from all over the world travel to the Hawaiian Islands year after year to experience the adventure vacation of a lifetime.

http://www.scubadivingsolutions.com/maldives.html Scuba Diving in Maldives - Most of the land masses of the Maldives are below sea level. What looks like open ocean interspersed by tiny islands is actually lagoons, deep channels, and atolls broken only by the occasional tip of coral that breaks the surface to form an island. This means that most of the magic to be found in the Maldives is underwater and can only be experienced through a scuba diving expedition.

http://www.scubadivingsolutions.com/malaysia.html Scuba Diving in Malaysia - The attractions that you will see while scuba diving in Sipadan, Malaysia are endless. Turtles are abundant here, and it is not uncommon to be able to watch them for lengthy periods munching away at algae and sponges or lazing around on wall shelves. The amount of macro life that inhabits the walls is also staggering. You could literally while away hours of precious scuba diving time zeroing in on these tiny, wonderful creatures.

http://www.scubadivingsolutions.com/travelwithgear.html Travel with Scuba Gear - Protecting your scuba diving gear while you travel begins before you ever leave the house. Before leaving for a trip, you should inspect all of your equipment to make sure that it is in working order. Mark each piece of gear with a brightly colored paint marker (felt markers will wear off) and create a packing list. The packing list will include each piece of scuba diving gear that you will be taking on your trip listed in the order that you pack it in your dive bag.

Happy Diving!!!
