In the election "Croatian Boat of the Year 2008" the voters are exclusively worldwide boatyards. The overall winner of this year is the SportRiva 56, from the Italian boatyard Riva. In this year election overall 59 boats was involved divided in three categories and 15 groups. Till the end the competition was very uncertainly, so in many groups battle persist until the last vote.
The overall winner
SportRiva 56 is the first model in a new line called SportRiva, studied to satisfy the demands of owners who, while not wishing to renounce to the lines of an Open, prefer the convenience of a closed, air-conditioned upper salon, ideal for countries with a tropical clime. The extended, aggressive line gives the boat a strongly dynamic appearance which, together with a number of highly innovative solutions that makes this yacht a true jewel of modern design.
About the voting
Thanks to the original idea of the organizer nauCAT, the voters, exclusively worldwide boatbuilders can't vote for the group of boats where is their nominated boat. Boatbuilding profession itself decides which yacht should be pronounced the best.
